William is the Founder and President of William A. Lau & Co, Ltd., a nationally recognized professional service firm based out of Homewood Illinois. His 45+ years of experience have solidified him as a professional and entrepreneurial business leader in the Chicago area.

 

William started his career at Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co., now KPMG where he led numerous public and private audits. His work spanned manufacturing, real estate, and governmental organizations. During the late 1970s, while working for KPMG, William was the lead auditor for the newly formed US Department of Energy. This emerging governmental work included the estimation of energy costs as it pertains to refined and crude products.
 
 

Currently William runs a successful Public Accounting / Professional Service firm in the Chicago area. He has served as a trusted advisor for clients focused on rapid expansion and initial public offerings. His market focused perspective has enabled many of his clients to maintain growth during significant financial recessions.

 

William resides in Northwest Indiana and Western Michigan with his wife and St. Bernard. He has two daughters, Jacqueline and Cassandra who are young professionals living in Chicago and West Michigan.
